This hands-on workshop teaches the process of designing and building a complex dogwood-flower pendant in borosilicate glass. Using the dogwood as a case study, Lendy will demonstrate how to systematically deconstruct a floral form into components, develop a clear step-by-step build plan, and execute the assembly and finishing techniques required to produce a refined pendant.

Artist Bio:

Lendy Middendorf is the Glass Petaler. Lendy is a Borosilicate Glass artist, specializing in botanical structure. Her love for floral and fauna shows in the details of each piece. Her process involves visiting Botanical Gardens in her travels and home city of St Louis. With this reference library she mixes color ranges to represent fade and striations in each petal, stem and leaf. Creating a variety of art, sculptures, fully articulating glass necklaces, pendants, Christmas ornaments and wine accessories.
